UPDATE – June 2009. I found that maintaining multiple blogs was WAY too much of a hassle. I’ve now merged them all back into one blog, and optimized the categories & tags accordingly

Yep, I’m getting a new blog on.

Well, not so much a new blog, as a new way to view my thoughts.
Previously, I posted *everything* at www.derekmartin.ca, and some people didn’t appreciate my geekiness infiltrating otherwise serene & insightful posts about my “offline life”.

This new blog should solve that by keeping all my geeky stuff here, and all my “normal” stuff over at www.derekmartin.ca.

I’m not sure what to call this blog yet, though.
Does it need a name? I mean, the URL is fairly descriptive.
My buddy Chris’ blog is called “At The Keyboard”, which I like.
If you have an opinion, post it as a comment.

For those of you wondering “why wordpress?”, the answer is simple: It has an iPhone App
Ok, there’s actually more to it than that. Mostly it has to do with the fact that *although* I do want to build my own blog, I have found that I stopped writing blog entries simply because I hadn’t gotten around to re-coding my blog yet. In the ultimate fit of geekism, I stopped producing content because I didn’t like the publication mechanism It sucks that I stopped, because I’ve had LOTS of thoughts… some might even have been worth sharing… and they’re lost to oblivion… Hopefully now I’ll be able to capture and share them more frequently

So, here’s to a new blog!
