Exopolitics Toronto

I know what I want to do. I’ve always known. I just didn’t think it was possible. I want to make a living studying weird shit! Researching it in a scientific way. If my friend can make $ from Google AdWords on his blog, then I can survive researching unexplained phenomena. This is my takeaway from yesterday’s “Exopolitics Toronto” conference.

Photo at right is of the main speakers:

Stanton Friedman – Nuclear Physicist for GE, GM, Westinghouse, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, and McDonnell Douglas on such advanced, classified projects as nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and nuclear powerplants for space. **He is the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident**.

Richard Dolan – holds an MA in History from the University of Rochester, a Certificate in Political Theory from Oxford University, and was a Rhodes Scholar finalist. Prior to his interest in anomalous phenomena, Dolan studied US Cold War strategy, Soviet history, and international diplomacy.

Stephen Bassett – ran for US Senate. Founder of Extraterrestrial Phenomenon Political Action Committee.

Hon. Paul T. Hellyer – Former Canadian Minister of Defense under Pearson, and Former Deputy Prime Minister under Trudeau. Indicentally, the wikipedia entry I’m linking you to on re: Hellyer was updated to include his appearance at this conference by the end of the same day as the conference. Wow. Go wikipedia!

As you can see, these speakers have some credentials that make them less likely to be “wackjobs”. These are educated people, not crackpots.

I spoke with Freidman for a few minutes and asked if he knew of any comprehensive global UFO resource and he said no — so that’ll be how I try to make my money. A lot of people believe. They need an outlet that doesn’t look like it was made with Frontpage 1997.

In other news, things are going AWESOMELY between my new girlfriend and I. We spent most evenings last week together, going out for drinks and just hanging out watching movies, having a great time. I already thought she was super duper cool, and then last night I was talking about the video game I’d just bought (Indigo Prophecy) and mentioned my Battlefield2 addiction, and out of nowhere she says “Oh yeah, I have Battlefield Vietnam”. I was speechless. A girl who had Battlefield Vietnam? I was glad we were already dating because the likelihood of me being able to find a such a girl is NIL. So, I told her that she was super-cool. :)

Also, I’ve enrolled in an online course in paranormal investigation.
My Uncle Charles sent me a wicked chess board from Budapest — hand made.
I’m currently reading “Angels & Demons” by Dan Brown. If you thought his novels were pure fiction, you’re wrong. There’s a reason they upset the church. Except for the fictional plot he has interjected into his writing, the entire contents of his book (so far) has been based on fact (judging from other research I’ve done). Woooooooooo

Hey if your uncle charles ever needs a place to stay in Budapest (just in case he happens to go there a lot) let me know. We’ve got a condo there that doesn’t do much most of the year.
