Most importantly, as mike lipkin talked about at the power within conference recently, learn to trust yourself. Pain is inevitable, Suffering is optional. Trust-in-the-lesson makes Pain our teacher, not our tormentor. Life can only be lived forwards, but it can only be understood backwards because even the most bizzare experiences leave a benign legacy if you review them through the correct lens.
We all encounter tough situations, but it is important not to let doubt, pain, fear, etc. stand in the way of the lesson being taught, so that you can pursue the opportunity about to present itself, whatever it may be. at 2006-03-12 02:45:40

u.c. said: I think we have all been where you are at sometime in our lives and you come throught it richer for the experience. You do make a difference-thats for sure .Each issue has to be dealt with seperately as all together they can crush you so imagine a series of boxes and put each one in one.Open that box when you need to and deal with it head on….dont add to it…in between the box is closed enabling you to get on with other things. Where your friends website is concerned pick up that phone and tell him where you are at…….now…..before things go too far otherwise you are going to get feeling even worse. We have all had to sometimes back off from something we said we could do,its dosnt make you feel real good at the time but once dealt with you feel a whole lot better.
Derek, you are having a bit of a crap time at the moment but beleive me it will all pan out. at 2006-03-12 08:17:43

here are my hopeful answers: Will this last forever? absolutely not. Will I ever fall in love again? absolutely yes.
i am sorry that you’re having a tough time. however, am not worried about you at all.
love is a way of living… and you are made for love. at 2006-03-13 18:39:34

Even though we don’t talk much on the phone or by email, I feel for ya man. I had a 14YearGirl, you know. And a 5YearOldSon too. And we still have them in our lives.
Here’s the only advice I can give you, the same my dad and my barber gave me recently.
Fix yourself. Make yourself the BEST that you can be. Better than now. Much better.
Don’t go looking for love.
Love will find you.
Be honest with yourself and with all around you. That is stop the games you play with your mind and with others. Expect respect.
Deal with loneliness by connecting with your friends. You have many of them, you know? at 2006-03-18 16:24:12
